Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Packaging Lead in Milwaukie, OR to support warehouse operations including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This role focuses on ensuring orders are completed safely and accurately on a fast-paced production line.

The Packaging Lead will supervise the packaging team, verify BOM details, ensure correct labels/materials, and maintain production records. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred, and strong communication and leadership will be

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or packaging experience preferred; leadership experience is a plus.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Able to verify information against a BOM and follow procedures.
• Able to lead a team and hold members accountable.
• Basic computer skills and data entry.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify discrepancies and elevate concerns.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and support the packaging team to meet daily production goals.
• Verify product labels, packaging materials, and BOM details before and during production.
• Ensure correct packaging materials and labels are used for each product.
• Monitor packaging operations for accuracy, quality, and GMP compliance.
• Communicate production priorities and concerns to team and other departments.
• Report discrepancies and maintain production records.
• Provide training on packaging procedures and expectations.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve routine packaging issues.
• Set up and breakdown of machines on the pack line; operate tools as needed.
• Move finished goods and packaging materials to cooler/freezers.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
