Job summary
Symphony Search is seeking an Application Development Engineer to serve as the main technical liaison between customers and the company. You will drive development and technical service for packaging solutions across targeted accounts, collaborating with the commercial team to commercialize opportunities and improve product performance.
The role involves leading pilot and production trials, translating customer needs into manufacturing instructions, and coordinating cross-functional tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong material science knowledge across PE, PP, PET, nylon, paper/foil laminations.
- Experience in new product development, flexible packaging applications, project management, and customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main technical contact between customers and Symphony Search.
- Lead technical activities to expand sales of existing structures and develop new flexible packaging structures.
- Translate customer requirements into company specifications and manufacturing instructions.
- Develop and lead pilot, production, and filling/packing trials and publish trial reports.
- Travel domestically and internationally to plants, suppliers, customers, conferences, and partnerships.
- Maintain thorough records including IP-related documentation.
