Job summary

State Industrial Products Corporation is seeking a Packaging and Equipment Engineer to lead development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging systems for chemical products. The role collaborates with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Procurement, Marketing and Operations to ensure safe, compliant, cost-effective packaging.

The position emphasizes chemical compatibility, package integrity, product protection, transportation performance, sustainability, and manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Equipment or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in packaging design or package engineering.
Experience with cosmetics, food or chemical manufacturing preferred.
Experience working with packaging suppliers on design, sampling, testing, and specification development.

Responsibilities

Source new packaging and equipment solutions for products.
Improve existing packaging to enhance functionality, cost efficiency, and compliance.
Conduct package and equipment testing to verify stability and regulatory compliance.
Create and maintain specifications for packaging and equipment used in manufacture and sale.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure approved specifications are in place.
