Carl Buddig and Company in Montgomery, IL is seeking a General Labor/Packaging associate to produce and package cooked products for shipment in a safety-minded environment. The role involves loading meat logs, performing weight checks, inspecting products for quality, and ensuring packages meet specifications while keeping work areas clean and sanitary.

Pay is $18.75 per hour with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, referral bonuses, and tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
• Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.
• Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
• Always maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
• Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
