Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company in Montgomery, IL is seeking a General Labor/Packaging associate to produce and package cooked product for shipment with a safety-minded approach. You will load meat logs, perform weight checks, inspect quality, and place packages into boxes and pallets.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Attention to quality and sanitation.
• Teamwork and reliability on the packaging line.

Responsibilities

• Load bulk meat logs (up to 30 pounds) into meat slicer at required production frequency levels.
• Perform random re-weight checks of sliced meat product.
• Review and inspect product.
• Place pre-determined amount of sliced meat products into packaging.
• Reject meat product that does not meet specifications.
• Place required number of packages into box.
• Inspect individual packages for proper quality specifications at a rate of 21 – 40 units per minute.
• Ensure that boxes are filled per required levels.
• Place completed boxes on pallet ensuring proper pallet configuration.
• Place empty pallet into position for proper stocking.
• Always maintain areas in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Inspect equipment for sanitary conditions.
• Inspect product for quality and any signs of foreign material contamination.
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned and needed.
