Job summary

Genpak in Charlotte, NC is seeking a forklift operator to move products per orders and unload trailers per OSHA requirements. Responsibilities include locating product, labeling checks, and maintaining sanitary warehouse operations under the Warehouse Manager.

Daily tasks involve trailer loading, barcode scanning, inventory reconciliation in Oracle, and collaborating with drivers to ensure on-time deliveries while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating PIT equipment (forklifts)
• Knowledge of OSHA forklift safety standards
• Ability to read shipping orders and verify accuracy
• Attention to labeling and product codes

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT equipment per OSHA specifications including daily inspections
• Complete trailer inspections and load sheets with barcode scanners
• Pull correct product and case count, ensuring proper labels
• Document all product pulled with bay locations and trailer details in Oracle
• Notify Warehouse Manager of damaged cases
• Perform bay consolidations to optimize inventory
• Assist truck drivers with trailer location and paperwork
• Maintain daily housekeeping in assigned aisle
• Meet daily department goals and operate forklift safely
• Use scanners for shipping, receiving, and product consolidation
• Load/unload various trailer sizes and work across warehouse areas
• Conduct daily forklift condition checks and report issues
• Report food safety issues to supervisor/manager
