Job summary

Axalta in Orrville, OH is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator for the day shift. You will fill, label, package, and inspect industrial coatings products, ensuring accuracy and quality. You will document production steps, set up equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work area while handling materials and operating pallet jacks.

The role includes safety compliance and timely reporting of issues. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read and follow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to read and follow safety rules, instructions and work orders.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic communication with supervisors and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Fill, label, and package products according to guidelines and safety standards.
• Complete job sheets and production documentation with correct counts.
• Attach lot numbers and shipping information to finished products.
• Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products for quality and packaging specs.
• Set up, operate, clean, and tear down packaging equipment as required.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust for consistent product quality.
• Stop or reset equipment for malfunctions; report issues to supervision.
• Remove finished products and separate non-conforming items.
• Operate powered pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area through housekeeping and safety practices.
