Job summary

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Filler/Helper to operate, set up, and tend to packaging machines for paint products in a safety-conscious, efficient environment. You will monitor quality, adjust machine settings, handle packing tasks, and remove finished items with attention to accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of industry-related experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately read and enter computer data.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to consistently lift 75 pounds.
• Exposure to quality programs and paint/coatings knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
• Adjust machine components and tension/pressure according to product size or angle.
• Tend to or operate machines that package product.
• Remove finished packaged items and separate rejects.
• Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
• Stop or reset machines, clear jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Secure finished items by tying, sewing, gluing, or attaching fasteners.
• Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation; replenish supplies.
• Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
• Clean and remove damaged materials to prep raw products for processing.
