Job summary

e.l.f. Beauty, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Packaging Engineer in Los Angeles to drive packaging development with a sustainability focus across Naturium and related brands.

You will coordinate with packaging compliance and sustainability teams, PD, sourcing, and creative groups to meet PCR/PIR targets while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality. The role requires a BS in Packaging Science or Engineering and 5+ years in cosmetic packaging.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Packaging Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in cosmetic package development.
• Concentrated experience in beauty industry with skin care, fragrance, and color categories.
• Knowledge of PCR/PIR structures and sustainability trends.
• Understanding of manufacturing and distribution for global launches.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in packaging development and process engineering for sustainability and compliance life cycle projects.
• Drive sustainable design and materials for packaging.
• Collaborate with creative, sourcing, and China teams to implement PCR/PIR materials with color matching.
• Lead supplier negotiations to meet cost and margin goals.
• Update portfolio with PCR/PIR content and compliance documentation.
• Own Declaration of Conformity implementation across the portfolio.
• Communicate milestones and flag issues to stakeholders.
• Develop risk assessments and timetables as needed.
• Evaluate package samples, prototypes, and supplier capability.
• Maintain technical contact with suppliers and stay informed on regulations.
