Job summary

AirLife group in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time packaging engineering intern to support improvements to existing products, engineering changes, packaging testing, and product line extensions within a regulated environment.

You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams, apply mathematical concepts, use CAD tools like SolidWorks, and contribute to FDA, GMP, and ISO compliance while pursuing an engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the packaging design and development processes used for medical devices.
• Experience with packaging engineering standards and test methods.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Proficiency with standard computer software; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
• Technical writing skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination, preparation, and testing of packaging configurations.
• Support packaging design verification/validation and packaging shelf-life documents per FDA guidelines.
• Support packaging improvement projects to achieve project timelines.
• Perform and complete packaging engineering product prototyping and testing.
• Assist in maintaining FDA, GMP, and ISO Compliance.
