AirLife, a premier developer of medical device packaging, is seeking a Packaging Engineering Intern in Grand Rapids, MI. This role supports packaging configurations, verifications, and testing for existing products and line extensions.

The candidate will work during a part-time, fixed-term period, in a regulated environment, with opportunities to apply CAD skills (SolidWorks) and contribute to FDA/GMP/ISO compliance efforts. Sophomore or junior engineering students encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of packaging design and development processes for medical devices.
• Experience with packaging engineering standards and test methods.
• CAD knowledge is required; SolidWorks experience is desired.
• Technical writing skills are desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination, preparation, and testing of packaging configurations.
• Support packaging design verification/validation and packaging shelf-life documents per FDA guidelines.
• Support packaging improvement projects to achieve project timelines.
• Perform and complete packaging engineering product prototyping and testing.
• Assist in maintaining FDA, GMP, and ISO Compliance.
