Job summary

AirLife, a premier manufacturer of breathing consumables in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks an Engineering Intern to support product improvements, testing, and regulatory documentation. You will assist with DMR preparation, FDA GMP/ISO compliance, and engineering prototyping during the project lifecycle.

The role targets students in junior or senior year of an engineering program with exposure to medical devices or plastics manufacturing, and requires CAD/SolidWorks proficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design and development processes for medical devices.
• Experience with CAD and SolidWorks is preferred.
• Proficiency with standard computer software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prepare, and test products for Device Master Records (DMRs).
• Support validation documents per FDA guidelines.
• Assist product improvement projects to meet timelines.
• Perform engineering product prototyping and testing.
• Assist in maintaining FDA, GMP, and ISO compliance.
