Job summary

AirLife in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an engineering intern to assist with improvements to existing products, product testing, and engineering changes. You will support the preparation of Device Master Records and related validation activities.

The role focuses on learning medical device design and development processes; candidates should be a junior or senior in an engineering program, with exposure to CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) and plastics manufacturing knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the design and development processes used for medical devices.
• Experience with injection molding knowledge is preferable.
• Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks is desired.

Responsibilities

• Support the coordination, preparation, and testing of products for the preparation of Device Master Records (DMR's).
• Support activities related to validation documents per FDA guidelines.
• Assist in product improvement projects to achieve project timelines.
• Perform and complete engineering product prototyping and testing.
• Assist in maintaining FDA, GMP, and ISO compliance.

Junior or Senior year in Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field
