Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking a Software Packaging Engineer to support an EUC software delivery modernization initiative. You will assess, repackage, test, troubleshoot, and deploy enterprise applications using Liquidware FlexApp across Windows environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MSI packaging, MECM/SCCM, and PowerShell scripting, and will collaborate with EUC, engineering, security, and business teams to modernize delivery. Hybrid onsite mix in Vienna, VA.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Software Packaging Engineering.
Packaging enterprise applications in Windows environments.
MSI packaging, application repackaging, and software deployment technologies.
Experience with MECM/SCCM.
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Troubleshooting installation, packaging, deployment, and runtime issues.
Understanding of app lifecycle and enterprise delivery processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to document technical procedures and operate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Assess and analyze enterprise applications for packaging and virtualization readiness.
Create, modify, test, and maintain software packages for Windows environments.
Package and migrate applications using Liquidware FlexApp technology.
Perform MSI packaging and repackaging, configuration, and customization.
Support application virtualization and layering initiatives across enterprise environments.
Conduct functional, compatibility, regression, and deployment testing.
Troubleshoot application installation, packaging, and runtime issues.
Validate packaged applications across VDI and physical Windows environments.
Document testing results, known issues, resolutions, and deployment requirements.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate packaging, installation, and deployment tasks.
Collaborate with EUC, infrastructure, security, engineering, and business stakeholders.
Participate in software delivery modernization initiatives and develop technical documentation.
