Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and validate packaging for consumer products. You will collaborate with Engineering and Marketing teams, develop concepts, and coordinate test plans to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years in packaging development, knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, and proficiency with SolidWorks and ArtiosCAD. Travel may be required, and a strong, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of packaging development experience supporting new product initiatives.
• Knowledge of packaging materials (corrugated fiberboard, paperboard, plastics, films, labels, adhesives).
• Familiarity with manufacturing methods (paperboard, corrugated, thermoforming, injection molding, lithography, flexography).
• SolidWorks and ArtiosCAD proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domestic and global Engineering and Marketing to design packaging.
• Develop packaging concepts and test plans to validate new designs.
• Coordinate testing, timelines, and project tracking across departments.
• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Lead issue resolution for packaging-related production challenges.
• Monitor competitor packaging trends and emerging technologies.
