Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and develop packaging for consumer products. You will collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Purchasing and Manufacturing to deliver concepts from concept to final production.

The role requires a BS in Packaging Engineering and 3+ years of related experience, with knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes. SolidWorks/ArtiosCAD experience is preferred, with opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Packaging Engineering required.
• 3+ years related experience in packaging development for consumer goods.
• Knowledge of packaging materials (corrugated, paperboard, plastics, labels, adhesives).
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (paperboard, corrugated, thermoforming, injection molding).
• SolidWorks and ArtiosCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with Engineering and Marketing to design packaging.
• Utilize SolidWorks and ArtiosCAD for concepts and development.
• Coordinate testing plans to validate new packaging.
• Manage multiple projects, ensure timelines, provide technical assistance across departments.
• Develop packaging alternatives to support cost reductions.
• Visit manufacturing, distribution, and suppliers to troubleshoot.
