Job summary

Anduril Industries in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Packaging Engineer to own end-to-end packaging solutions for supplier, internal, and finished goods. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to design protective packaging for high-value technology and lead sourcing, material selection, and risk assessments.

This role requires 5+ years in packaging engineering, willingness to travel up to 25%, relocation onsite, and eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of packaging engineering experience in a high-rate supply chain or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Willingness to relocate onsite in Costa Mesa, CA and obtain/maintain U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging that protects high-value and sensitive technology during transport, storage, and deployment.
• Lead internal packaging solutions for delivering parts to the production line and collaborate with Material Flow Engineering and Industrial Engineering teams.
• Conduct material selection and supplier packaging evaluations to meet technical requirements.
• Develop and review prototype requirements, manage build milestones, and lead sourcing activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of packaging and materials.
• Lead risk assessments and investigations for packaging-related transport/storage issues.
• Utilize ERP & WMS systems to track packaging inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality control in material management.
