Job summary

Anheuser-Busch in Jacksonville Brewery is seeking a Packaging Engineer to drive continuous improvement of packaging line equipment and systems. You will collaborate with Packaging, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to boost uptime, line efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, capital project leadership, and coaching operators and technicians to adopt best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or related discipline.
5+ years engineering or maintenance experience leading reliability programs in high-speed manufacturing.
Experience implementing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with packaging equipment, automation, controls and industrial electrical systems.
Experience coaching trades in a unionized environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, and predictive maintenance.
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with root cause analysis.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Lead improvements in controls system performance and issue resolution.
Develop, document, and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency.
Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and ROI analyses.
Guide staff, contractors, and vendors to standards and practices.
Support packaging operations to achieve KPIs on reliability and efficiency.
Lead learning and development for technicians and operators.
Monitor equipment performance trends and drive corrective actions.
