Job summary

Anheuser-Busch in Jacksonville Brewery is seeking a Packaging Engineer to drive continuous improvement of packaging line equipment and systems. You will collaborate with Packaging, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to boost uptime, line efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, capital project leadership, and coaching operators and technicians to adopt best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or related discipline.
• 5+ years engineering or maintenance experience leading reliability programs in high-speed manufacturing.
• Experience implementing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with packaging equipment, automation, controls and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience coaching trades in a unionized environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, and predictive maintenance.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with root cause analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office.

This position partners closely with Packaging, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop and implement sustainable process improvements and equipment reliability to maximize equipment uptime, improve line performance, and optimize maintenance costs across the packaging operation.**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Lead improvements in controls system performance by ensuring timely and quality issues resolution.* Develop, Document, & Implement process improvements to make the Brewery teams more effective and efficient.* Lead capital projects, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle planning, including development of business cases and return-on-investment analyses.* Guide brewery technology staff, peer support teams, contractors and vendors in execution of responsibilities to standards.* Promote and enforce effective change management, support transition and support escalation processes for various design and implementation teams.* Support the packaging operation in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, line efficiency, maintenance performance, and continuous improvement.* Lead learning and development initiatives to improve the technical knowledge and skill set of operators and technicians within area of expertise.* Monitor equipment performance trends, analyze reliability data, and drive corrective actions to eliminate chronic losses and failures.* Own and manage departmental budgets.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS:*** Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.* 5+ years of experience in Engineering or in Maintenance leading reliability programs within a high-speed manufacturing, packaging, food and beverage, consumer products, or similar production environment.* Demonstrated experience implementing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.* Experience supporting packaging equipment and production systems, including automation, controls, and industrial electrical systems.* Experience coaching, developing, and training skilled trades in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.* Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, and predictive maintenance technologies.* Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with experience conducting root cause analysis and developing business cases.* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred.**WHY ANHEUSER-BUSCH:**At Anheuser-Busch, our purpose is to create a future with more cheers.
