Stanley Black & Decker invites top students to join our Packaging Engineering internship in Towson, MD. As a packaging intern you will design and develop packaging solutions, collaborate with global teams and suppliers, and create prototypes for customer reviews with major retailers.

Ideal candidates are rising juniors or seniors graduating 2027 or 2028, pursuing Packaging Science or Packaging Engineering, with strong academics and knowledge of packaging materials and processes.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior with target graduation date 2027 or 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in Packaging Science or Packaging Engineering.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Basic understanding of packaging manufacturing processes including printing, die-cutting, thermoforming, injection and blow molding.
• Familiar with packaging materials (corrugated, paperboard, plastic).
• Familiar with Artios CAD, TOPS/Cape and Adobe Creative.

Responsibilities

• Design, innovate, and execute packaging solutions with resources.
• Collaborate with global packaging team and suppliers to develop requirements and priorities.
• Develop packaging structures to maximize quality/cost and qualify through testing.
• Develop specifications, labeling, and approvals of packaging structures.
• Create prototypes for customer line reviews and sales pitches with major retailers.
