Stanley Black & Decker is offering an Engineering Intern, Packaging Graphics/Graphic Design in Towson, MD. You will support packaging graphics, work with a global team, and gain exposure to packaging development processes and materials.

This internship emphasizes hands-on design, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to major retailers, with a strong focus on learning and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2027 or 2028.
• Active pursuit of a degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering or related field.
• Maintains strong academic credentials.
• Basic understanding of packaging-related manufacturing processes including printing, die-cutting, thermoforming, injection, and blow molding.
• Familiar with corrugated, paperboard, plastic materials used in packaging structures.

Responsibilities

• Design, innovate, and execute packaging solutions collaborating with supportive resources.
• Coordinate with global packaging team and suppliers to develop packaging requirements and project priorities.
• Develop packaging structures to maximize quality/cost using regionally available materials and qualify through testing.
• Develop specifications, labeling, and approvals of packaging structures.
• Create prototypes for customer line reviews and sales pitches with major retailers.
