Job summary

RugPadUSA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep packaging and material handling equipment running, including boxing lines, shrink wrap, conveyors, and palletizers. This role combines preventive maintenance, quick troubleshooting, and basic electrical work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

You will read manuals, log activities, support HVAC and dust collection, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of maintenance, mechanical repair, or related trade experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting with hands-on repair ability.
• Basic electrical knowledge (120V-480V) and safety circuits.
• Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to read manuals.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn CMMS systems and read wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boxing lines, shrink wrap machines, conveyors, and palletizers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, belts, bearings, chains, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues (motors, switches, sensors).
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, parts diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work order records; support HVAC and dust collection.
• Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance during planned downtime.
