Job summary

Lilly seeks a Process Automation Engineer – Packaging for the Kenosha County campus to lead and support packaging-line automation. Work spans design, qualification, and startup, coordinating with engineering, IT, and operations to ensure compliant, reliable systems.

Requirements include a STEM Bachelor’s and 7+ years in process engineering with automation. Familiarity with Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, and MES integration is a plus. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 7+ years of experience as a process engineer with automation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and qualify new packaging lines.
• Lead automation lifecycle activities (design review, FAT, installation, SAT, qualification, startup).
• Act as SME for integration between packaging equipment and MES/SAP/SCADA type systems.
• Review electrical, controls, and safety designs to Lilly standards.
• Support implementation and lifecycle management of Lilly manufacturing platforms.
