Job summary

Avocado Green Brands is seeking a Packaging Associate to join the Packaging Team at our Fullerton site. You will wrap, compress, and package finished mattresses for storage and shipment, using roll-pack, heat sealers and shrink wrap equipment.

This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and adherence to GMP/OSHA safety standards. You’ll collaborate with teammates in a fast-paced production setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with packaging mattresses for storage/ship­ment.
• Familiarity with GMP/OSHA safety standards and PPE use.
• Ability to lift 50–100+ lbs with team assistance.
• Willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Wrap finished mattresses in plastic film or fabric for protection.
• Apply guards, edge protectors and padding to prevent damage in transit.
• Compress mattresses using roll-pack machines and vacuum-seal as needed.
• Label and tag products with SKUs, batch numbers and destination info.
• Operate roll-pack, heat sealers, shrink wrap, and banding machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe packaging area and follow safety protocols.

THE ROLEAvocado is currently looking for a Packaging Associate to be part of the Packaging Team. You will be reporting to the Production Assistant Manager.A Packaging Associate in Mattress Manufacturing is responsible for preparing, wrapping, compressing, and packaging finished mattresses for safe storage and shipment. Given the bulky and heavy nature of mattresses, this role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and familiarity with specialized packaging equipment.*Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. Depending on the role, you will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations / Retail location / Remote.*Note on Pay Transparency:.
