Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. seeks an Associate Application Engineer to support Packaging segments with focus on Specialty Tapes & Labels. You will run lab demonstrations, calibrate equipment, perform testing, and generate reports for customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating pilot equipment changes, reporting results, and training staff. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for success in this role in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or equivalent hands-on coating expertise.
• Mechanical / application equipment aptitude for web handling, coat weight variables, tension control, coating methods, and web drying.
• 1–3 years laboratory experience; packaging industry experience preferred.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent project management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Runs customer lab demonstrations using application equipment and/or pilot coater/laminators and supports on-site customer visits.
• Ensures calibration and safety checks of lab, pilot, and application equipment in line with regulations and standards; coordinates equipment changes.
• Completes Customer Lab Work Requests, technical reports and updates in our technical database.
• Performs lab work to support Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action on product complaints.
• Prepares internal reports and presents to internal teams; supports training of internal and external personnel.
