Belmark Inc. is seeking a Packaging Application Engineer I to join a fast-paced team focused on identifying customer needs and matching products with the right materials and finishes. The role involves collaboration across sales, production and suppliers to land new accounts and ensure repeat business.

The position emphasizes engineered material solutions, process testing, and timely project execution in a manufacturing environment, with potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate high throughput, accuracy, speed and service with all projects.
• Apply engineering principles to identify solutions from formal training and experience.
• Clear and effective communication in English is required.
• Bachelor of Science in engineering or technology with ~4 years of related Packaging Application Engineer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Sales team and customers in defining end-use requirements.
• Establish size and design specifications for new opportunities including material, finish, and die specs.
• Perform competitive analyses of customer samples to recommend best options.
• Create, revise, and manage material/converting specifications and test methods.
• Process and manage daily project flow with accuracy, speed and service.
• Work with suppliers to test and trial new materials and validate processes.
• Support standardization of materials and processes to service customers.
• Assist in developing departmental procedures and drive improvements.
