Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Trainer for Package Handlers to lead safety‑driven training across unloading, loading, palletizing and scanning processes. The role involves hands‑on instruction, supervising peers, and maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced dock environment.

You will demonstrate proper handling techniques, ensure safety standards, and assist in new procedure implementations while rotating through various tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train peers and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs on unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides training to other PHs as needed or requested by management.
• Provides feedback on proper package handling techniques.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peers.
• Updates managers on conditions during the sort to aid efficiency decisions.
• Assists in implementing new package handling procedures and techniques.
• Regularly loads/unloads, palletizes, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls packages while training others.
