Job summary

ALASKA HEART INSTITUTE, Anchorage, seeks a cardiac technologist to support the Cardiac Device Clinic under limited supervision. You will assist with the development and function of the Clinic, delivering device technical support to Cardiology staff and coordinating with other hospitals for timely services.

Responsibilities include conducting pacemaker/defibrillator checks every 3-6 months, triaging remote transmissions, and applying advanced programming concepts such as LV vector testing and CRT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Biomedical Engineering or medical assisting degree.
• Experience with implantable cardiac devices and arrhythmia recognition.
• Familiarity with device programming and remote monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-office pacemaker/ICD checks every 3–6 months.
• Provide exceptional patient care in clinic and by phone.
• Triage remote monitor transmissions and deliver accurate reports to providers.
• Demonstrate teamwork and dependable attendance.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting and programming concepts including LV vector testing and CRT optimization.
