Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer in Plano, TX (Hybrid) to design, build, and operate an Internal Cloud Platform PaaS. You will enable application teams to deploy without managing underlying infrastructure while ensuring availability, security, and developer experience.

The role covers platform foundations, integration patterns, and lifecycle management with VMware stack collaboration to improve reliability and scalability for enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• This role requires 4–5 years building or operating PaaS environments.
• Hands-on Linux, runtimes, and platform architecture experience.
• Familiarity with VMware virtualization and internal cloud platforms.
• Experience onboarding developers, CI/CD integration, and runtimes.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and evolve PaaS foundations based on TAS.
• Define and implement platform integration patterns across VMware stack.
• Own platform architecture, configuration standards, and patterns.
• Enable secure, scalable application runtimes for development teams.
• Support onboarding and modernization to the PaaS model.
• Collaborate with automation, SRE, and operations for reliability.
