Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. invites a Per Diem Uro Gyn OR Physician Assistant to assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under the supervision of a physician. Duties align with standard PA practice and ensure continuity of care in robotic surgical settings.

Two years of robotic surgery experience is preferred, with urogynecology/OBGYN exposure; coverage across JFK, Riverview, Old Bridge, and Jersey Shore University Medical Center is included in this per diem role.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS/ACLS certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist, monitor, and manage day-to-day patient needs under the supervision of a physician.
• Perform the duties of a Physician Assistant according to accepted medical standards.
• Support robotic surgery teams and provide coverage across JFK, Riverview, Old Bridge, and Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Job description

The Per Diem Uro Gyn OR Physician Assistant assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

2 years experience surgically trained in robotic surgery and preferred experience in Urogynecology/OBGYN. Coverage for JFK (Primary), Riverview, Old Bridge and Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

• Education:

  • Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.

• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant License.
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

• Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer platforms, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

• Certifications:
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
