Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager, Public Policy for the AWS State and Local Public Policy team to shape cloud infrastructure policy across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. You will engage state and local policymakers, manage external advocacy, and collaborate with AWS units to advance policy objectives.

The role requires strong policy analysis, cross-functional teamwork, and direct engagement with government officials to promote cloud adoption and infrastructure expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 7+ years of public policy, government relations, community relations, public affairs, corporate social responsibility, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with government officials and regulatory bodies (preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively across levels and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing government affairs objectives and public policy priorities for AWS in PA, NJ, and DE.
• Lead advocacy efforts on data center infrastructure policy in Pennsylvania.
• Identify policy opportunities/threats; develop mitigation strategies and policy positions; coordinate external advocacy efforts.
• Facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and policymakers, industry associations, and partners.
• Leverage industry associations and outside consultants to advance AWS public policy goals.
