Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Principal, Public Policy to create and execute state and local public policy objectives in Massachusetts and the Northeastern U.S. You will engage with policymakers, work with external consultants, and collaborate with trade associations to advance Amazon’s policy priorities in Boston and beyond.

Responsibilities include aligning cross-functional teams, developing policy positions, and representing Amazon at conferences and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Economic Development)
• At least 12 years of relevant public policy experience and understanding of US state and local policymaking processes

Responsibilities

• Work with public policy, communications, legal, and business teams to align priorities and policy goals.
• Assess and anticipate public policy matters; develop positions and strategies.
• Oversee external advocacy efforts and initiatives.
• Build relationships with state and local policymakers and trade associations.
• Willingness to travel for the role.
