Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an experienced public policy professional to represent AWS before state and local policymakers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. The role focuses on data center infrastructure policy, cloud adoption, and AI policy, coordinating advocacy across government, associations, and coalitions.

You will lead high-level meetings, align policy positions with AWS objectives, and drive infrastructure expansion in the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
7+ years of public policy, government relations, or equivalent experience.
Experience with government officials and regulatory bodies.
Cross-functional collaboration across teams and with senior leadership.
Strong written and oral communication across technical, business, and executive levels.
Knowledge of technology policy, cloud computing, data centers, or AI policy.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute government affairs objectives for AWS in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
Lead advocacy efforts on data center infrastructure policy in PA, NJ, and DE.
Identify policy opportunities and threats; develop enhancement or mitigation strategies and policy positions.
Facilitate high-level meetings between AWS executives and key stakeholders including policymakers and industry associations.
Coordinate external advocacy, outreach programs, and alliance partnerships in line with AWS objectives.
