Job summary

Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA seeks a non-tenure line Assistant Professor/PA Program Director to provide leadership, vision, and expertise for the Physician Assistant program and to oversee curriculum design and the reaccreditation process. The role requires academic leadership and teaching experience within a university setting.

The position is a term appointment with continuation contingent on university needs, performance, and funding.

Qualifications

• Proven graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Master’s Degree in an area related to the job requirements.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania with prescriptive authority.
• Three years of patient care experience as a PA in a clinical setting.
• Three years of academic leadership experience in a university setting.
• Teaching experience in a university setting.
• Prior ARC‑PA accreditation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision, and skills to support the PA Program and oversee curriculum design.
• Oversee the program’s strategic plan and design of the curriculum.
• Oversee reaccreditation processes for the PA program.
