Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. in Manahawkin, NJ, seeks a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse to assist, monitor, and manage the day-to-day needs of gastroenterology patients under physician supervision.

Office hours are M-F 8:30-5:00 with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Requirements include PA or NP education from an accredited program, NJ PA/NP licensure, prescriptive authority, an NDA with physicians, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Description du poste

The Gastroenterology outpatient/inpatient care Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) assists, monitors, and manages the day-to-day needs of patients as requested by, in conjunction with, and under the supervision of a physician. Performs the duties and responsibilities of a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner according to customary and generally accepted medical standards.

Position is located in Manahawkin, NJ.

Office hours: M-F 8:30-5:00

No weekends required.

No holidays required.

No on-call requirement.

Very busy GI practice with three GI physicians and three APPs.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. 1. Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
2. 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
3. 3. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. 1. Physician Assistant License.
2. 2. National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
3. 3. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
4. 4. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
2. 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
3. 3. Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
4. 4. Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
5. 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI).
6. 6. Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
7. 7. Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
8. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. 9. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

1. 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
2. 2. Advance Practice Nurse License.
