Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant to join our General Neurology inpatient service for night coverage on a per diem basis.

You will assess, plan, and implement patient care alongside the hospital team, maintain strong documentation, and ensure high-quality, coordinated care. NJ license, NP or PA certification, and ACLS/BLS are required; collaboration with physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
