Job Title: Part-Time Server
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager
Position Summary
The Part-Time Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. This position requires a friendly, professional attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Servers are expected to maintain high standards of hospitality while accurately taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Greet guests promptly with a welcoming and professional attitude.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
- Accurately take and enter guest orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner.
- Monitor tables throughout the meal, anticipating guest needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Process guest payments accurately using cash, credit cards, or other approved methods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, server stations, and beverage stations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies, setting tables, and cleaning work areas.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure efficient service.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and notify management of any issues requiring assistance.
- Assist with banquet, catering, and special events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
- Ability to obtain or maintain any required food handler or alcohol service certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as scheduled.
Schedule
- Part-time (approximately 15–30 hours per week).
- Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
Work is performed in a restaurant setting with frequent interaction with guests and staff. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and a commitment to excellent customer service.
