PROGRAM MANAGER (temp p/t, 9-10 weeks)

Metropolitan Family Services, Inc. is seeking a responsible, organized, reliable, and dedicated individual with management experience and a background in providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities. As the Program Manager, your role is to provide supports and services necessary to enable individuals to live, work, socialize, and participate in the community. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the management and operation of the Community Habilitation program, including supervision of DSPs and the care of all individuals receiving services within the program.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, design, and implement a Community Habilitation program.
  2. Coordinate referrals, admissions, and discharges in cooperation with families, referring agencies, and providers.
  3. Ensure compliance and conduct audits of files.
  4. Attend staff action plan meetings.
  5. Manage intake processes.
  6. Engage in community outreach.
  7. Handle billing for Community Habilitation Services.
  8. Recruit and onboard staff.
  9. Provide regular supervision to all staff.
  10. Review and update plans to reflect changes in individuals' interests, needs, and family situations.
  11. Maintain records of staff's PPD-TB tests, trainings, and consumers' personal information, ensuring accuracy per OPWDD regulations.
  12. Travel to all boroughs as needed.
  13. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
  14. Ensure adequate staffing and coverage for clients.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, or related field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals, service coordination, foster care, or in educational settings.
  3. Minimum of 2 years management experience.

Job Details:

  • Type: Part-time, temporary
  • Salary: $25 - $27 per hour
  • Schedule: 2-3 days per week
  • Work Location: In person
