Job summary

City of Bartlett is seeking a part-time Manager on Duty for Singleton Community Center. The role oversees facility activities, staff supervision, and public safety during events, with on-site presence and strict adherence to procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and supervisory experience is preferred. A pre-employment drug screen and basic physical are required. Bartlett residents are preferred but not required.

MANAGER ON DUTY
SALARY $14.92 PER HOUR
This is a part-time position with no benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervises activities/staff during use of facilities and games, including opening and closing prior to and at the conclusion of scheduled events.
• Maintains a current knowledge of related operational aspects of the facilities and familiarity with assigned tasks necessary to operate the facility.
• Maintains a good interpersonal relationship with staff, participants, officials and general public.
• Responsible for safety of staff, participants, officials and general public while on site.
• Responsible for reporting any accidents, incidents, injuries or property damage in writing at the time of the occurrence.
• Documentation of needed repairs or adjustments to equipment or facility. Documentation of any exceptional or sub-par employee performance.
• Interacts courteously and professionally with the public during the course of the event.
• Stays on-site during the event.

Other Job Functions:

• Collaborate with other City departments, ensuring a streamlined and responsive approach to community service delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

• Ability to effectively manage a public event with a firm but cordial management style.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to work cooperatively with the employees and public.
• Ability to maintain a calm, “take-charge” demeanor and follow emergency protocol.

Education and Experience:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Special Requirements:

• Must pass a drug screening and a basic physical from a City of Bartlett approved examiner.
• Bartlett resident preferred, but not required.
