Job summary

PPG Industries is hiring a Material Handler for the 1st shift in the Kennesaw, GA area. The role includes receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating a forklift, and supporting production schedules.

Starting pay is $22.12 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule. Training on 1st shift 8:00 AM–4:30 PM is required. Must be willing to work in Kennesaw while Delta Airport access is pending and comply with U.S. hiring regulations, including identity verification.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
• Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
• May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
