Job summary
Rinker Materials Career Center in the United States (DeLand, FL) is seeking a Product Engineer to lead development, review designs, and optimize concrete products for performance and cost. You will test mixes, collaborate with quality control and suppliers, ensure codes and standards, and support cost analysis and documentation across cross-functional teams.
A PE license and 2+ years in precast or concrete industries are preferred; PPVC experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; PE license required.
- Minimum 2 years in construction, structural, or precast concrete.
- PPVC project experience is a plus.
- Ability to review and validate drawings, specs, and calculations.
- Knowledge of ACI, PCI, ASTM, and local codes preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to developing new concrete products.
- Create and review product designs meeting standards and specs.
- Test and analyze concrete mixes for performance and durability.
- Collaborate with quality control to maintain high product quality.
- Identify process improvement opportunities in production.
- Evaluate materials with suppliers for suitable concrete manufacture.
- Assist in cost analysis and value engineering.
- Document product specifications, test results, and design changes.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and sales on product challenges.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Review, approve, and seal drawings and calculations per licensure.
