Job summary

Rinker in Florida is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Product Engineering team to design precast concrete structures, concrete pipe, and manholes while supporting manufacturing operations.

You will prepare drawings, structural calculations, and shop drawings, and collaborate with contractors, government agencies, and project stakeholders to meet specifications and deliver critical infrastructure projects from the Deland, FL office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within months.
• Experience with precast concrete structures, state DOT projects, or water/wastewater projects is a plus.
• Experience in reinforced concrete design and structural engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design engineered concrete products including precast structures, concrete pipe, manholes, and other components per project specs.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, structural calculations, product estimates, and review shop drawings.
• Collaborate with contractors, government representatives, the General Manager, sales, and operations management.
• Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
• Position based out of the Deland, FL office.
