USA Underwriters seeks an Underwriting Manager to lead and mentor the underwriting team. This player-coach role combines hands-on technical underwriting with staff development and process optimization.

You will ensure compliance with multi‑state regulations and drive efficiency across the department. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of underwriting leadership experience, a CPCU designation (or active pursuit), and strong communication skills to coach staff and collaborate with leadership.

Formación

• 4+ years of underwriting experience with supervisory or lead capacity.
• CPCU designation highly desirable; pursuing CPCU encouraged.
• Strong analytical abilities and data interpretation under pressure.
• Proactive, collaborative leadership style and ability to share leadership space.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise underwriting staff and mentor team.
• Monitor queues and workloads to maintain elite service levels.
• Act as escalation point for complex underwriting decisions and provide hands-on support.
• Conduct regular file audits to elevate technical skills and enforce guidelines.
• Ensure underwriting actions comply with state regulations.
• Collaborate to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
