Job summary

MGA is seeking a VP of Personal Lines Underwriting to lead a high-performing team and drive growth, profitability, and efficiency in a dynamic MGA environment. You will oversee complex decisions, risk selection, and pricing integrity while expanding carrier partnerships and product offerings.

The role requires senior leadership, 7+ years in Personal Lines underwriting, and a track record of implementing automation and AI-driven improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Personal Lines underwriting experience with strong risk selection and pricing.
• Proven leadership experience developing and mentoring underwriting teams.
• Experience with underwriting/rating platforms, agency management systems, and workflow automation.
• Ability to lead organizational change and technology initiatives, including AI implementation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CPCU, CIC, ASLI, or similar insurance designation highly preferred.
