Job summary

Nationwide is seeking an Actuarial Consultant in P&C to perform complex, quantitative actuarial analyses and support pricing, forecasting, and risk management. You will work with actuarial, analytics and business partners across the organization to deliver decision-grade insights.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of actuarial experience and familiarity with catastrophe modeling, data mining, and reporting tools such as Power BI.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, data science or similar with modeling/quantitative analysis.
• ACAS designation or progress toward FCAS; focus on P&C actuarial student program.
• Five or more years actuarial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• P&C property actual vs technical pricing analysis and reporting.
• Develop catastrophe pricing standards aligned with Nationwide view of catastrophe risk.
• Collaborate with pricing & modeling teams on property pricing initiatives.
• Support P&C forecasting, planning, and evaluation of reinsurance placements affecting CAT risk and pricing.
