Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a P-3 Certified Preschool Teacher to deliver a child-centered curriculum for 3–5 year-olds in a Head Start classroom. You’ll collaborate with an assistant teacher, families, and staff to support growth across development domains.

You will implement developmentally appropriate instruction, document progress, and integrate IEPs while ensuring safety and daily routines in a 10-month school year setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a P-3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard).
• Must have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
• Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implements a child-centered curriculum and learning environment for 3–5 year-olds.
• Addresses challenging behaviors by observing causes and partnering with families.
• Documents progress using observations and anecdotal notes.
• Establishes positive partnerships with families across program, school, and home.
• Provides developmentally appropriate classroom experiences and print-rich environment.
• Implements daily lesson plans responsive to children’s needs and interests.
• Integrates IEPs for children with disabilities.
• Maintains consistent classroom routine and safety for children.
