Job summary

Grand Banks is seeking an Oyster Bar Shucker with upscale, high-volume restaurant experience to join our front-of-house team on a tipped role. You will be at the oyster bar, shucking, presenting oysters, and engaging with guests with knowledge and hospitality.

Shuckers ensure cleanliness and proper handling of oysters, while contributing to our sustainability and memorable dining experience. Must be able to work day, night, and weekend shifts, and love sunsets.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, and bend for long periods.
• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with knife handling and oyster knowledge.
• Must love sunsets.
• Polished personal presentation and grooming.
• Willingness to work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Execute proficient oyster shucking and plating duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Master knowledge of oyster offerings including origin and tasting notes.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of food and beverage menu items.
• Engage with guests in a courteous and knowledgeable manner.
• Manage order-taking and fulfillment while keeping workstation tidy.
• Regularly clear and sanitize guest bar area and restock as needed.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to DOH standards.
• Set up station according to specifications and ensure proper ice and stock.
