Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Field Construction Management Director to act as the owner’s field representative across a major pharmaceutical campus footprint. You will remotely and on-site oversee construction execution, validate progress, ensure safety, and drive quality and readiness for commissioning and startup across multiple fronts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field
• 20+ years of professional construction management experience
• Minimum 10 years leading field teams on complex industrial programs
• Experience overseeing field execution on programs >$1B capital value
• Pharma or related regulated industries preferred
• Experience managing NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to travel and stay on-site as needed

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's primary field oversight representative across active work fronts
• Maintain on-site presence to monitor construction activities, productivity, and execution quality
• Independently verify contractor-reported progress and support owner-side progress metrics
• Identify risks and issues impacting safety, schedule, or turnover objectives
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, procedures, and quality standards
• Support owner QA/QC expectations across project areas
• Lead NCRs, punch lists, and corrective action tracking
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, validation, and startup teams
• Validate field readiness for inspections, turnover, commissioning, and startup
• Identify execution risks and escalate before milestones
• Support integrated planning and field constraint resolution
• Participate in daily meetings and field coordination
• Coordinate with Project Controls on progress validation
• Assess contractor staffing and front readiness
• Develop field observation reports and dashboards for leadership
• Verify corrective actions completion and defect resolution
• Support readiness reviews for commissioning and validation
• Promote safety, accountability, and field excellence
• Build relationships with contractor leadership and owner stakeholders
• Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across teams
• Communicate regularly with clients to ensure satisfaction
• Direct value engineering and risk management initiatives
• Capture lessons learned at project close-out
