Job summary

Safety Management Group in the United States (Lehigh Valley, PA) seeks an Environmental Advisor/Owner's Rep to ensure environmental compliance on construction projects. You will coordinate programs, permits, and corporate environmental policies across regions and projects.

The role requires 7 years of environmental experience, a related degree, and strong communication skills to train teams and engage with contractors, agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7 years of environmental experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or similar is required.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance oversight for construction activities.
• Support compliance with NPDES, RCRA, Stormwater, Air Permits, and SPCC requirements.
• Develop and manage environmental plans, permits, documentation, and records.
• Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments to identify environmental risks.
• Partner with contractors to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental training, guidance, and coaching to project teams and contractors.
• Support regulatory audits, agency interactions, and project-specific environmental programs.
