Qualifications

• Students should be enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college.
• A major in construction management or civil engineering is preferred.
• Above-average communication skills (written and verbal)
• General understanding of commercial construction means and methods
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Procore or PlanGrid
• Competency to learn new software tools
• Ability to handle multiple assignments

Responsibilities

• Act as owner’s representative on small- to medium-scale construction and facilities projects
• Participate in design meetings, review plans and logistics, and coordinate with contractors
• Communicate with design and construction teams and Company management
• Work with other departments in Auto-Owners real estate division, including facilities, security, and contract management
• Assist in non-construction projects within the real estate division as needed
